Supplier or Contractor Reviews

In November 2023, one of our clients secured a substantial national facilities management contract—a project that embodied complexity and challenge, elements I thrive on.  The contract, to be delivered fully through contractors, had a critical go-live date of 1st February.  I'm proud to say we met the deadline.

My role in this project involved liaising with various large contractors, streamlining processes where possible, and finalising specifications, terms, and agreeing on pricing.

The keys to our success were clear:

Leadership from the Sponsoring General Manager: Having a strong leader at the helm provided the necessary direction and support throughout the project.

Effective Collaboration: A fantastic working relationship with the National Facilities Lead and their counterpart on the client's side ensured seamless communication and alignment of goals.

Open Communication with Contractors: Honest and transparent discussions with contractors fostered trust and allowed for effective problem-solving along the way.

Role Clarity and Team Purpose: Every team member understood their role clearly, and a shared sense of urgency and purpose drove us forward.

This project provided me with invaluable insights into the facilities management ecosystem, spanning from Stewart Island to Kaitaia.
